The Cape Knife Show:

• will be held at the Theo Marais Park Main Hall off Koeberg Road in Milnerton
• on 20 November and 21 November

Our knives are handcrafted by master craftsmen to exact standards, with no two knives being exactly the same. Because our knives are handcrafted, production volume is limited, hereby providing to our customers what they are searching for in a high level of exclusivity.

Our knives are made from the finest 420C stainless steels and damascus steel (combination of 1065 Carbon Steel and 4340). Damascus steel patterns are available include raindrop, twist, ladder, random& reverse patterns. Blade thicknesses are substantial, and all our knives are heat treated to exacting requirements to ensure long lasting cutting edges, without compromising on that of blade toughness.

Our handle materials include water buffalo horn, bone, Turkish walnut and stag horn. This in turn provides for an endless variety of handle finishes and textures; further enhancing the uniqueness and exclusivity of each knife we sell.

All knives are supplied with custom made leather pouches and sheaths. It can be truly said that our products are made to last a lifetime of use and enjoyment.

Heavin Forge is the Knifemaking Studio and School of Kevin and Heather Harvey, and offers a variety of knifemaking and related courses. They also hand make high quality collectors knives and swords, and their own damascus (folded and laminated) steel. The knives never leave their workshop, and they do all the embellishment, engraving and leather work.

Kevin Harvey is a mechanical engineer and has been a full time Knifemaker since 1996, and Heather Harvey qualified as a Farrier and Blacksmith in 1983.
