Hunting Safaris are conducted throughout the year, but the recommend months is March to October for Rifle Hunting and May to September for Bow Hunting.

Matlabas Game Hunters do not believe in introducing invasive or alien species into any given habitat, and hunting on the Matlabas property in the Limpopo Province is restricted to indigenous Plains Game species like cape eland, southern greater kudu, southern impala, plains zebra, common waterbuck, red hartebeest, blue wildebeest, warthog, steenbok, grey duiker, nyala, cape buffalo (when available), gemsbok, and southern giraffe. For any other plains game animals, hunters will be taken to suitable concessions which is their natural habitat.

Bow Hunting species include Zebra (Plains), Monkey (Vervet), Baboon (Chachma), Jackal (Black Backed), Caracal, Blesbok (Common), Bushbuck, Duiker (Common/Grey), Eland (Cape), Gemsbok/Oryx, Giraffe, Impala, Hartebeest (Red), Kudu (Southern Greater), Nyala, Steenbok, Warthog, Waterbuck, Wildebeest (Blue).

The Box H is a family run business situated in the highveld grasslands of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, and offers excellent walk and stalk hunting for all of the legally huntable plains game species in southern Africa. Hunters will always be accompanied by a licenced and experienced Professional Hunter and tracker, who will adhere to fair chase methods of hunting only. Thrilling bushpig hunts over a pack of 10 – 12 experienced hounds are conducted in KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and Eastern Cape Provinces.
