Huntershill Safaris is a premier youth safari and hunting destination in South Africa, offering youth hunting, trophy hunting, bow hunting, fishing and wingshooting in a malaria and bilharzia free area. There is about 60 different species of game on a 25000 acres ranch.

The Huntershill Safaris is based in the Stormberg Mountains, near Queenstown in the Eastern Cape, and hunting takes place all year round. Accommodation include the Thomas Baines Lodge and the Safari Lodge, the Big Five Cottages and The Poplars, and the Mountain View Luxury Chalets.

There is a large selection of plains game available for rifle or bow hunting, and the  preferred method is “walk and stalk”, however exceptions can be made. Huntershill Safaris also offer wing shooting, and species include Guinea Fowl, Egyptian Geese, Spurwing Geese, Greywing Partridge,  Rock Pigeon and Ducks. Arrangements can be made for keen fishermen to try the waters for Bass and Trout.

Choronga Safaris caters for youth hunters, bow hunters and rifle hunters. It is an American owned hunting company operating predominantly out of the Limpopo Province of South Africa, as well as specialised safaris out of Zambia & Zimbabwe. 

Rifle hunting is conducted on nearby concessions and is mostly walk and stalk, or spot and stalk. Youth Hunters are accompanied by a highly qualified professional hunter and tracker each day. Bow hunting is the speciality at Choronga Safaris, with certain hunting areas for bow hunting only which were set up by bow hunters, for bow hunters.

Accommodations for youth hunters at Choronga Safaris are extremely nice, and the main part of the lodge has four large rooms with private bathroom, large closets, comfortable beds, and is fitted with an air conditioning/heating unit for your comfort. Just off the main lodge sits the “lapa” (the gathering place) where you will spend the majority of your time when you’re not hunting.
